Create, Discover, Play Day encourages families to get up, go out, and go explore what the Wheaton Park District Community Center has to offer. This event will feature several complimentary activities for families, including Family Boot Camp, obstacle course, youth fitness classes, healthy snacks, showcase of our Recreation & Athletic Programs, and open gym!

Light the Torch 5K

This 5K night run is fun for all ages!

We provide the fun, you provide the light!

A portion of the proceeds from this race with go to FT Cares Foundation and its mission of transforming lives.

Lions Club Reindeer Run

December 5, 2015 | Race starts from DuPage County Historical Museum

Lion’s Club Reindeer Run is a CARA Certified Race, hosted by the Lion’s Club in conjunction with the Wheaton Park District. Awards will be given to top male and female finisher, and top three finishers per age division.

Proceeds benefit Wheaton Lion’s Club Charities.

Participants are encouraged to bring holiday spirit and wear costumes.

Safety: The runners’ safety is of the utmost importance. Therefore, bicycles, in-line skates, other-wheeled vehicles (except wheelchairs) and dogs are not allowed.

Packet Pick Up: Packet Pickup will be held on Thursday, December 3 from 10am-8pm at the Wheaton Park District Community Center at 1777 S. Blanchard Road in Wheaton. Registration is available during packet pick up and race day for $40 if entry is still available.

Volunteers: Volunteers are essential to the success of the race. All volunteers receive a t-shirt and a breakfast. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Terri Lightbody at

Santa Claus Spin 4 A Cause

Saturday, December 12 | 8am-Noon | Community Center

Hop on a bike and spin for a great cause! Bikes will be organized in teams of 4-5 riders. Invite your family and friends to cheer you on, enjoy an assisted stretching area with personal trainers, and the kids can enjoy a play/activity area right in the room. Water, towel, and snacks will be provided.

Proceeds will benefit Toys for Tots.
