Cosley Zoo Run for the Animals 5K/10K & Zippity Zoo Run

One of the suburbs’ largest 5K/10K Runs. First 2500 runners receive a long-sleeve tech t-shirt. Post-race includes music, awards and refreshments. Walking is permitted. All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.This race is hosted by the Cosley Foundation to raise funds for the development and renovation of exhibits at Cosley Zoo.

Safety: The runners safety is of the utmost importance. Therefore, bicycles, in-line skates, stroller, other-wheeled vehicles (except wheelchairs and other accessibility devices) are not allowed. Animals are also not permitted on the race course or in Memorial Park (except for service animals).

Course Details: The Cosley Zoo Run for the Animals is a USATF certified course. The course winds through the streets of downtown Wheaton. The 10K will include Northside Park as part of the route. Cosley Run Map 2015 (PDF)

Packet Pick-Up: Packet Pick-Up will be held on Wednesday, June 3 and Thursday, June 4 from 8am to 8pm at the Wheaton Park District Community Center at 1777 S. Blanchard Road in Wheaton. Registration is available during packet pick up for $38 for 5k/10k and $18 for Zippity Zoo Run. Race day packet pick up will be available from 6am to 6:45am in Memorial Park. Registration on race day will be $40 for 5k/10k and $20 for Zippity Zoo.

Volunteers: Volunteers are essential to the success of the race. All volunteers receive a t-shirt and a breakfast. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Randy Tucker at rtucker@wheatonparks.org.

This race has applied for and received the Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA) designation as a CARA CERTIFIED RACE. This race has agreed to adhere to and uphold CARA’s Best Practices Guidelines.
